We advocate for better road network to promote traffic safety, health and environment management amongst the public in order to have safe movement on the road, to promote safe roads, safe vehicles and save people through advocacy for improved transport system.
To be a lead agency in accident prevention, contributing to a major reduction of the injury burden in Africa.
Uganda Road Accident Reduction Network Organization (URRENO) is a Ugandan, non political, not for profit, Non Governmental Organisation that was established in 1995 and acquired a legal mandate in 1996.
The URRENO idea was conceived by was conceived by a multi-disciplinary group of individuals who perceived the road safety situation of Uganda as precarious and hitherto perceived the need for advocacy and promotion initiatives for a radical transformation of the road safety perspective.
It was therefore agreed that a non-governmental organisation be initiated to articulate strategies to address the fundamental causes of road accidents in Uganda. There-after, a situation survey and brainstorming meetings were organized and out of these meetings, a mission and vision for URRENO was collectively developed
